The Clipper has welcomed hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors over the decades through its doors. The current owners Steve and Karen bought The Clipper in the summer of 2014 and often welcome the original owners into the restaurant. The Clipper is very much family orientated and is a family run business, with both their daughters Abbie and Ella working alongside them.
Originally The Royal Clipper saw regular big dinner dances and gatherings – you would find many local residents on the dance floor! The staff now enjoy listening to customers reminisce about time spent in the restaurant. The Clipper is often referred to as a “real local gem” and is a firm favourite in Poole with its legendary customer service and extensive flexible menu.
